Old Quito was declared as a World Heritage Sight by UNESCO because of its colonial architecture that contrasts with the modern and imposing buildings of modern Quito, today turned into a Metropolitan District. Visit it and cross into the past of colonial Ecuador. Their churches are richly adorned and a sample of the Ecuadorian craftsman.
Climate
Although Ecuador is in the center of the torrid zone (cut in two by the Equatorial Line), it does not have a typical tropical climate. It enjoys all climate class by the influence of the Humbolt Current and by the Andes Mountain Range. The climatic stations are two: rainy and dry. In the Coast and the Galápagos, the rainy season goes from January to April, with temperatures average of 28 Celsius degrees. In the East, the climate has temperatures above 30 C. and with a very high humidity level. In the Mountain range, from June to September, it is the dry station and its climate varies between 10 C and 20 C.

Currency
